Hello Everyone!

This is the deck I used to win the online league Season 7! (http://irafay.com/DestinyLeague/). This is one of those decklists that on paper looks like it just shouldn't do as well as it does, but it wins so many match-ups if you give it the time to really learn it well. I did use a similar list to win a local 14 person tournament as well some time back/before the last round of nerfs(4-0, in that tourney, I played 2x eBoba/ePhasma, 1x eAayla/eRey2/Profitable connections, and 1x eSabine/eEzra) and got 5th in a Store Champ (Wins against 2x Kylo/Pryce, 1x Tarkin/Seventh, loss to Yoda/Lando).

League: I ended up 7-1 in the Swiss, playing a variety of decks including some of the usual suspects like Talzin Commandos and several Snoke 3-wide lists (namely Snoke/Aphra/Bd and Snoke/Bazine/FOST), as well as some creative builds such as Piett Commandos. My only loss was to one of the Snoke/Bazine/FOST lists.

Cut was to top 8:
First Match: Snoke - Supreme Leader/Cad Bane - Vicious Mercenary 2-0

  • These games went quick, I focused on Cad Bane - Vicious Mercenary whenever possible; I find that in most 2 wide match-ups (even against Aggro ones) they have a hard time absorbing the sheer amount of damage this decklist can put out. That said, definitely nerve racking as at any point he could roll huge and do a lot of unmitigated damage.

Semifinals: Yoda - Wizened Master/Leia Organa - Heart of the Resistance/Hired Gun tanky mill: 2-0

  • Really interesting/unique decklist! I did fall behind in one of the games, though in the end the consistent damage just overwhelmed. He was playing Fall Back which is just a really hard card to play against for this deck, since its early goal is to drop so many dice on the table.

Finals: Millionaires (Yoda - Wizened Master/Anakin Skywalker - Conflicted Apprentice/Cassian Andor - Rebellion Operative). 2-1 These games were probably the closest of the league for me - very back and forth, I won the first and third matches. In every game he got down a first turn Anakin Skywalker's Podracer, and that support just provides a lot of value over the course of a game. The action cheating events(All In and Tactical Mastery) were huge due to the massive amount of high quality removal he was running. I won the first game with a single card left in hand. In the third game I actually fell behind early (severely limited first and second round damage due to all the big removal), but then had a round with 4 discard off of Tarkin + a 6 damage Scorched Earth to pull out the win. Force Wave was clearly an MVP due to the sheer amount of potential damage from that single die.

Deck tips:

  • this deck is best played as an aggro deck, putting out as much damage as possible every round. When I first built the deck it had a LOT of removal, while now I have prioritized the surprise damage out of hand (namely Scorched Earth and Lightsaber Throw). Damage out of hand is hugely powerful (and should likely be present in more indirect damage decks especially - will often lead to mistakes as players don't account for it when dividing their damage). Scorched Earth specifically has won me a huge number of games - comparable in my mind to how Clandestine Operation accelerates some mill decks)
  • in most match-ups I am hard mulliganing for upgrades. It is crucial to flood the table with dice (and as such, watch out for Mind Trick and Feel Your Anger).
  • it is fairly important to drop at least one melee upgrade on Tarkin - Grand Moff because of the Lightsaber Throw's, as often the Seventh Sister - Agile Inquisitor is the initial target.
  • In many match-ups I would roll Tarkin - Grand Moff in first due to the potential for those 2 discard sides.
  • There are clearly a lot of cards that could be slotted in this deck (though not a lot from the most recent set, perhaps General Grievous' Wheel Bike could take the place of Z6 Riot Control Baton). Since so often Seventh Sister - Agile Inquisitor is the initial target I limited the number of force powers due to the variance of them only being helpful if I pulled the Sith Holocron early.
  • It was really difficult to fit in room for the Rend but that card has so often just been devastating in taking out Force Speed/Sith Holocron/Chance Cube early in the game.
  • Often it makes sense to just target whoever they put the indirect damage on, since so much of your damage is indirect/spread out. That said, it can still put out adequate direct damage if a certain deck really relies on a specific character.

Definitely let me know if you have any thoughts/questions!

Hi! I did record it but it made for a huge file (3 gigabytes) and I haven't taken the time to figure out how to clip it and such.

Did you not have access to WotF with this or did you not feel like any of the cards helped improve the deck?

Any cards from AtG you'd add?
