Rebel Grey 136

Rebel Grey here making yet another mill deck with Empire at War cards in the hopes that one of these actually works. As a disclaimer, I haven't tested this one much just yet but I am hoping that the community can provide some additional pointers on it and we can flesh it out together.

Synopsis
The idea behind the deck is to eliminate an opponent's deck through cards like Spy Net, Patience, Padme Amidala - Queen of Naboo's , and General Rieekan - Defensive Mastermind's ability. We'll try to main throughout the game and utilize Jedi Instructor as a sort of all-purpose die (also she fit the points scheme so, yeah). Padme Amidala - Queen of Naboo's is used not only to proc Spy Net but also turn General Rieekan - Defensive Mastermind sides to as needed. Don't neglect her side as needed too, but mostly use her .

Early Game
Let's grab and try to get Spy Net in our opening hand along with Chance Cube and Coordination. Any of our upgrades are useful early as well. We'll want to keep at least one resource available for die mitigation and we'll also want to remember to utilize our Force Misdirection with Jedi Instructor very wisely (close to mid/late-game tbh), such as when we can remove lethal damage or a ton of dice in general.

Mid-Game
Once we've got our s up, we want to plop C-3PO down and get our U-Wing into play. Utilize it's focus as needed, but it's main purpose it to keep up on everyone for General Rieekan - Defensive Mastermind. Feint will allow us to mill four cards in one turn and we can do that twice in the game. Remember to roll the dice in case you proc Spy Net, which is very important!!!

Late Game
For closing out, once we've got all our stuff on the board and we'll well-protected, we'll want to continue to kill the hand with Scout and Maz's Goggles and Patience at the right time to 0-out their deck. This hits hard and fast late in the game and getting rid of key cards throughout the match-up will be a real treat and the true control to any mill deck.

OK let's see how it goes!

This is I think Rieekan's best chance in a 3-character list, as rough as it is to start with only 1 die per character. I had a couple different ideas, particularly in the support section, I'm interested to hear how this deck plays if you get a chance to test it out. For fun (and curiosity) I put each of SoR's 1 cost supports for the Hero side (Spy Net, Double-Dealing, and Your Eyes Can Deceive You) in the deck. I don't think all of them will be effective or necessary but they do all actually help the deck so I thought I'd test them out just in case it works out.

Your Eyes Can Deceive You is a trap. It's really not very good. Double-Dealing is alright but I wouldn't waste a deck slot on something that takes two rounds to matter. If anything you might try more shield generation, which is what the deck had initially before I popped out this variant on it. I have it built but have not yet tested extensively. Thus far all I can say from mill testing in general this set is that All Quiet On The Front has been a huge disappointment to me. Buy Out on the villain side of things is infinitely better. But what else is new.
