10 man SC winner

Rnd 1: Aurra Sing - Deadly Shot/FN-2199 - Loyal Trooper

I probably should have lost this match, he mitigated my damage dice, distributed damage evenly over his two characters, but could't finish it when he rolled back to back to back blanks on FN overwrites. Rise Again and his poor rolling in the end saved me, ending with no shields and 12 damage on Palp.

Rnd 2: Captain Phasma - Elite Trooper/Tie Pilot/First Order Stormtrooper

My opponent only played an Imperial Discipline on his Phasma first round, turn 2 and 3 I started with Abandon All Hope and slowed his upgrade rate down so much that he never recovered. I won with 2 shields and 3 damage on the Emperor.

Rnd 3: 3x Death Trooper

This was against the friend I drove to the tournament with. He's been playing and refining this deck for some time now and I know it pretty well. My sole mission this game was to play Abandon All Hope and prevent his Endless Ranks, because there is no way Palpatine lives long enough to do 50 damage. After I had discarded one of his Ranks and had just killed the first Trooper I claimed and discarded my entire hand and there it was, he had drawn into his second Endless and was on 8(!!) resources when I hit him it at the start of next turn and indeed All Hope was abandoned at this point. I don't remember exactly what shape Palpatine was in by the end of this match, think he was on 9 or 10 damage or so.

Rnd 4: Darth Vader - Sith Lord/Royal Guard

This was just an awful match for my opponent, I kept rolling shields and discards and he kept rolling blanks. After playing both Rise Agains the match ended with both his characters dead and NO damage on Palpatine.

Top 4: same Vader/Guard

This game was a lot closer, since he got a Sith Holocron out immediately and used it to play a Force Throw and Mind Probe. In the end Rise Again bought me just enough time to finish Vader, Palp would have been dead this turn due to an Force Strike and Mind Probe. Ended with 12 points of damage on Palpatine.

Finals: Captain Phasma - Elite Trooper/Guavian Enforcer/First Order Stormtrooper

This was the match-up I head dreaded most, because he had so many ways to remove my dice. The game was a massacre though, in part through me having a turn 2 Force Lightning by way of Sith Holocron which proceeded to roll the 4 for 1 four times in a row. The other part was that my opponent made some mistakes (discarding 4 cards to Abandon All Hope to keep 4 resources, which then negated his entire turn because he only rolled blanks and modified sides). I think he either forgot or wasn't aware of the Enforcer's ability either. Anyway, he never did enough to get through my shields and I won the match with Palpatine at full health and three shields, which sounds impossible to me, but there it is.

MVP: can't choose between Abandon All Hope and Rise Again, they were both awesome.

Will take out No Mercy and Rejuvenate, saw both of them in all 6 matches and never used either. Probably add Enrage and one of both Use The Force and Feel Your Anger since I had several occasions where I wished I had those cards.

All in all, pretty okay day, considering I had only played 1 match with this deck prior to the tourney. I'm now 7-0 with it, but still strongly feel this shouldn't be the case and a good Vader/Raider or FN/Unkar/Trooper deck will beat it handily.
