It's hard not to compare this character combination to ePoe/eRey. Although Poe's special side is possibly the best die side in the game, he can feel a little inconsistent without the ability to auto-resolve it in Poe/Maz.

This character team lets you free up a lot of deck spots that otherwise go towards enabling Poe, allowing for a lot more creativity in your build.

Card Selections

Baze Malbus - Crack Shot Compared to Poe, Baze trades a much higher ceiling for a better floor. It helps me rationalize his bad special by just pretending it's a 1 with an occasional extra bonus. It's certainly more usable than Poe's disrupt side.

It's a Trap! is a really great card - I think it's surprising that it's often not played in decks not seeking to maximize it's benefit. Most people run 2 Deflect - why not run a little more range-hate? Unlike Mono-red hero decks, which only have two Hit and Runs to use per game, eBaze/eRey has 6 chances plus another 2 from Force Speed.

Riposte won't be nearly as consistent as it is in eQui-gon/eRey. Here, it functions more like an Armed to the Teeth - something you really only want to do if it kills off a character. Caution, Dug in, and Spirit of Rebellion, along with a couple random sides in the deck, are the only way to use this card - I'm sure there's something that could be better here. Maybe Awakening? Rearm? High Ground?

Overkill has been hard to pay for. You can't really spend all your resources on it, because you need to save money for Baze's 3. It might finally be consistent enough if Awakening is added to the deck.

There's a lot of room for improvement here. Please let me know what you think should be added, and how you do if you try it out yourself!

I am very excited to see this idea! Can it be played without the Force Speed? I love Baze. He has the potential to hit like a truck. I thought Baze/Chirruit would work. Overkill is great with Awakening, if it hits. But, the two blank sides and the cost make me think twice. I would love to be a part of this process. eBaze/eSnap just is not for me.

As far as the Rocket Laucher, I would cut that for the Lightbow. The double special adds flexibility. And its cheaper. Also, a second A180 again adds flexibility...

I wonder if a small reduction in upgrades would mean some more ambush events and mitigation.

I tried to build one based on gaining the extra actions from "Ambush" weapons on Rey and using events. I left out the "shields" shenanigans, that is for eRey/eHan. Let me know what you think: swdestinydb.com

@bbrodsky50 I think I prefer Rocket Launcher to Handcrafted Light Bow. Although the Lightbow is free to resolve and can do more damage, I never feel comfortable resolving the single or sides if I had cards to reroll them. It feels like the lightbow has 1 blank and 2 more "pseudo" blanks. Plus, you can't modify a lightbow die with It's a Trap.

That said, Lightbow certainly isn't a bad choice- quite possibly better than A180 despite the Trap combo. Play test what you think might be interesting and see what works.
