Hey its me again. I tweeked the deck a little replacing Verpine Sniper Riflewith DL-44 Heavy Blaster Pistol and Grand Entrance with Quick Draw. It has gotten much better results then. Tell me what you think. This is the third iteration of this deck. I have been getting good results with it do far. I plan on taking it to a store championship. I will update how the games went.

UPDATE:

Took this to my first store champs and tied for 2nd place in the 14 man tournament. Here is a quick summary of the games

Game 1:Ezra Bridger - Aspiring Jedi/eJar Jar Binks - Clumsy Outcast/Gungan Warrior x2/Espionage

Was quite confused by his characters and what it was supposed to do. He told me his plan was to kill me in one turn. I laughed a bit and shrugged. Well he did it. doing 12 damage across all my characters with 2 Salvo 1 Strategic Planning and 1 Launch Bay. I Assume you all know the deck by now. It was on the front page.

Game 2: eKylo Ren - Tormented One/DJ - Treacherous Rogue

This game went well for me over all. Had my removal. Had Rex's Blaster Pistol. Had Hit and Run. I Focused Kylo whilst he piled upgrades onto the one dice DJ. Action cheating was my friend as I killed Kylo Ren - Tormented One turn 3 then hit DJ - Treacherous Rogue for 8 on the first action I took turn 4 killing him. He had 3 damage in him from indirect. But to his credit he toughed it out and got me down to only Rex - Clone Captain left.

Game 3:eMother Talzin - Nightsister Matriarch/eDJ - Treacherous Rogue

This one was a bit simpler then the last. I got both Rex's Blaster Pistol turn one and got them both out turn two. I focused Talzin just due to her poor health pool. killed her turn two with a Quick Draw and Rex's Blaster Pistol combo. He removed only two of my 6 dice so she was a goner. The ending was about the same with a hit and ru into 10 damage nut roll.

Game 4:eDJ - Treacherous Rogue/eCaptain Phasma - Ruthless Tactician

This was the easiest game. Not because of the player. I just had good luck. I got Rex's Blaster Pistol again turn one. Then I only drew one more gun till turn four. I mitigated his dice till then and save up 8 Recourses. I had first action. I played DL-44 Heavy Blaster Pistol ambush into Hidden Blaster ambush into Quick Draw into Holdout Blaster. Rolled out Rex - Clone Captain and his Clone Trooper. I nut rolled 8 damage. Killing DJ - Treacherous Rogue and putting Captain Phasma - Ruthless Tactician on 3 health left. (Again she was missing 3 already from indirect. Killing him that turn with the Jedha Partisan and Bendu's Lair - Atollon die.

Over all if I didn't face the OTK deck I feel a soft though I could have won it all but that is just my confidence talking. Thanks for reading!

Destiny Deck Analysis 271

Thanks for the write up! I had similar results in a SC, finishing 3-1 and 3rd, with my only loss being to Rey(2)/Luke(3). I am wondering how you decided on the Jedha Partisan over say Maz Kanata - Pirate Queen or Hired Gun? Also, did you have trouble in testing losing non-redeployable weapons? Regardless, excited to see another Rex - Clone Captain deck perform well in a SC! Also, did you see the SDCC Rex - Clone Captain promo card? It's pretty sweet!

@Destiny Deck Analysis

My idea for Jedha Partisan over the others was that hired gun has to many pay sides. If the deck is working as intended you shouldn't have as many recourses as I did in my game 4 all your recourses should be going to gun then dice removal. Then Maz Kanata - Pirate Queen you have 1 side of your dice that does 1 damage. The Jedha Partisan gives me consistent indirect which helps in getting there characters low enough to kill. Basically means I could mill the enemy first if we are both rolling bad or midigating well. Finally hitting an ancient or force illusion with that discard from the Jedha Partisan feels amazing.
