Everyone's favorite mysterious shiny-domes are back together at a cool even 30 points (I was planning on using Plots but I guess I won't get to with these two).

So, since I have yet to pull a Cad Bane - Vicious Mercenary (and apparently don't need to now), this is has been a variation on that deck that I've been running since the 2p set dropped, and it has been serving me quite well.

The Imperial Inspection nerf does WONDERS for cheap upgrades which only helps decks like this one.

Deck build discussion:

Some of this explanation is unnecessary, but here you go:

Backup Muscle is a mid-game card as you really want speed in the beginning but if you need it to avoid a team who would likely double-pass you to increase their ramp, get it out!

Main Plaza - Vashka is a risky BF as it can be used to snipe, but in most matches you should be claiming. In most matches because of that, I would take it over the shields. You need the heals with only 20 health, you need the potential snipe as well, and you reaaaaally want the initiative.

Every card in here should be obvious, but there are a few upgrades that can easily be swapped.

Relby-V10 Mortar Gun is a cool weapon for mid-game but it's situational and non-redeploy, so I've included it as a one-of, but I might drop it for more cheap upgrades.

Captain Phasma's Blaster is an AMAZING weapon! I have only included one because you can only play one and if you do, play it on Phasma, but if she's dead, redeploy doesn't matter, so play it on Jango.

I wanted to stick with redeploy weapons, but the case could definitely be made to drop the F-11D Rifle for X-8 Night Snipers and it's really likely I would if I had them, buuuuuut I do not. So old faithful remains.

I am one mitigation card shy of my auto-include of 8, but I wanted a single copy of fast hands and wasn't willing to give up any additional dice. The inclusion of Dug in and Armor Plating for survivability balance that out, though.

Am considering slotting Sound The Alarm because it's free and consistently awesome, just not sure what I'd be taking out yet.

If I had X-8s, here are the changes I would make. -1 Relby-V10 Mortar Gun, -1 F-11D Rifle, +2 X-8 Night Sniper

Play methodology:

Load up whoever they don't target first, shield up, armor plate, make those extra points work (don't forget to doubt those Vibroknifes). And watch out for double-pass! Don't get greedy with your Jango Fett - Lethal Mercenary activation, that's one of the reasons I've included Backup Muscle

Ideal opening hand:

Salvage Stand, Fast Hands, one of the 2-cost ambush weapons (I like to start with the LL-30 Blaster Pistol ideally), a piece of free mitigation (Doubt or He Doesn't Like You), and a utility card. A second Salvage Stand in the opening hand is nice, but Dug in, or more free mitigation is also good. It's likely one of those cards is going to go to re-roll town anyway.

Or a DH-17 Blaster Pistol is always good to see turn 1 as it leaves you money to use on mitigation or utility.

This is matchup-dependent, so YMMV, but I like to drop an ambush upgrade on Captain Phasma - Elite Trooper, and Fast Hands on Jango turn 1.

If you don't have Fast Hands, roll in Phasma.

If you don't have an ambush upgrade, drop a non-ambush on Jango. This will likely make him the first target which is GOOD since he has the weaker die and you can still Tactical Mastery when he's gone, but also makes it likelier for you to be able to roll and resolve him with a better die off an opponent activation sooner.

Don't be afraid to utilize a less-than-ideal Jango Fett - Lethal Mercenary activation in order to choke resources via Salvage Stand or to setup a timely He Doesn't Like You.

As always, have fun, and don't forget to wash your hands

Dropped Relby-V10 Mortar Gun and Fast Hands for two copies of Drop Zone MASSIVE play in this deck. Total momentum shifter. Ends up being scarier than Planetary in some situations

Great deck. I too have been testing it and using drop zone. For the battlefield, I have carbon freezing chamber and I also have we have them now in the deck. Thoughts?

Definitely will have a more control feel. Really depends on your meta, I suppose. If you're seeing a lot of Vader/Palp, Carbon Chamber is clutch. Doesn't offer you the ability to snipe, but it comes out in the wash when it comes to damage mitigation as they're rolling less dice. And if they should beat you to it, your character dice aren't exceptional, so it's not as big of a loss.

We Have Them Now is a great play. I might drop Armor Plating to try it out. I find it a bit expensive for the deck, but still
