Leia Organa - Born Leader has become my favorite character to play with. She may not look like much on paper, but she is SUPER consistent - even more so when paired with Mon Mothma - Skilled Politician.

And that's the name of the game here - consistency. Aside from the occasional, well-timed It's a Trap!, the deck does not deal too much in burst damage. But there is almost always a constant flow of damage being sent over, removal aside. That said, given the number of unmodified sides Leia has, mitigation is not as much a problem for this deck as it is for others.

Certainly not the most competitive deck around, but still a really good budget (mostly) option. (The only $$ card is Holdout Blaster.) My purposes for uploading this deck now are to really hone and perfect it for tournaments. Again, I don't expect to be winning them all with this deck, but still I want to make it as good as it can be. Anyway. So here we go.

I would take Promotion out for C3P0. If you like the card draw from Promotion I would replace it with Tactical Aptitude. That's deck filtering on a stick.

I agree with Jorgyn Ryys on the Promotion. But if you are looking for Speed I do feel Tactical aptitude would be the better choice over 3PO as sometimes I do feel he does get clunky now and then.

This deck is pretty brutal. I lost to it tonight, so I stole the guys frozen wastes. Im going to send him photos of me holding it random locations as I backpack across the USA.

Cool budget deck that looks fun. Thanks for sharing!

Have you tried Planetary Uprising with this?

Looks like you want to keep it budget, but what about Rocket Launcher for the A180 Blaster? Mon does bring home the bacon after all

A180 Blaster and Promotion are the definite weak points of the deck and are the cards I'm hoping to be able to replace with the release of future sets.

While definitely good cards, I think both C-3PO and Planetary Uprising are maybe too slow for this deck - C-3PO especially. Admittedly I've never tried Tactical Aptitude, so I will give that one a playtest or two. But I don't see the additional instances of draw being better than the die sides on Promotion. That being said, if another 1-drop red upgrade gets released that's similar to DH-17 Blaster Pistol or even Imperial Discipline, Promotion will be the first to go.

Rocket Launcher is definitely better than A180 Blaster, but as you guessed I just don't have them. And I'm not too interested in investing in them right now. I think I'll wait to see what 3-cost upgrades are released in the next set. I'd certainly like something that doesn't cost a resource to resolve each time. While the deck can put out lots of resources, more often than not you want to be using Mon Mothma - Skilled Politician's dice to Focus Leia Organa - Born Leader's, so being forced into using hers instead to gain Resources is not necessarily what the deck wants to be doing. Still, if the next set doesn't provide anything better, that is probably the change I will make. Because you just can't go wrong with 3- and 4-damage sides.

Also don't steal other people's cards. Come on.

My version of it, cause I play this deck since SoR release, is similar but uses 1x Rocket Launcher and 2 x A180 (but will probably change for 2 and 1). I play one promotion who is correct.

I wouldn't play C3PO cause its too slow. But I do play Planetary uprising. Also, I don't play Guerilla Warfare and I use Spirit of Rebellion who is suprisingly usefull in almost every game.

It's a trap, it's a great card when I read it, but is it me or 9 times out of 10 it dosen't work, or you just don't play it. You don't need it as much because of Mon refocuses.

Yes, It's a Trap! is very situational, but I still wouldn't ever leave home without it in a deck like this.

Guerrilla Warfare is one of those cards I'm testing out. Admittedly it does not do a whole lot, so I'm unsure it's worth the card slot. But it is nice to use on an extra Mon Mothma die towards the end of a round and then immediately claim off the Ambush.
